What is in this puzzle
This word search hides 12 words on a 14 x 14 grid, including PUCK, SLAPSHOT, GOALIE, REFEREE, PENALTY, FACEOFF, BLUELINE, BOARDS and more. Words run in every direction — across, down, diagonally, and backwards — which is what makes it worth more than a couple of minutes.
It is aimed at classroom use, and works as a starter, an early finisher task, or a cover lesson. The full word list is printed beneath the grid on the sheet itself, and the completed grid is on the answer page.
How to print it
